EMU: 2022-23: Proved to be one the team’s top scorers and ball handlers as a starter in all 30 games he played… Averaged 14.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals… Ranked second on the team in points while leading the Eagles in assists and steals… Finished 16th in the MAC in scoring average and eighth in free throw percentage at 81.3 percent… He also was fifth in minutes played (34.4) and ninth in steals… After coming to Eastern with a career-high 16 points, he smashed that mark 11 times, including a blistering 36 points at home against Toledo, Feb. 11, where he also recorded career-highs with 14 made field goals, 22 attempts, seven made triples, and 10 three-point attempts… That came one game after scoring a then-career-best 35 points at Buffalo, giving him 71 points in two games… For his efforts against the Bulls and Rockets, he was named the MAC Co-Player of the Week, Feb. 13… Across the league, his 36 points tied for the third-highest total in a game this year by a MAC player while his 14 field goals and seven three-pointers ranked third and fifth, respectively… Those two games tied Raven Lee (2017) for the most points by an Eagle in a two-game stretch… With 18 points at Ball State, Feb. 3, he scored 82 points in three games, trailing only Lee, who scored 93 in 2017… Adding in the 29 he scored at home against Ohio, Jan. 31, his four-game stretch of 118 points is the most by an Eagle since the 1998-99 season… Twice shot 7-of-9 from the free throw line to record career-bests with the last instance coming against Ohio, Jan. 31… Recorded a career-high six assists twice… Posted at least three assists in 17 games after doing so just three times in his previous two seasons at DU… Made at least three triples in seven different games as well.
DUQUESNE: Spent the two seasons as a member of the Duquesne basketball program, playing under former EMU assistant coach and current Dukes Head Coach, Keith Dambrot... 2021-22: Was one of just five players to see action in all 30 games, 16 of which were starts... Led the team in three-point shooting, with an impressive 39.4 percent clip from deep, a 10 percent improvement from his "true" freshman season... Those numbers helped him total a career-best five double-digit scoring efforts... After making his first career start, Nov. 19, 2021 against Northeastern, went on to notch numerous quality stats in his second collegiate season... Pulled down a career-high seven rebounds, including five in the first half, versus EMU's Mid-American Conference foe, Bowling Green, Dec. 1, and came off the bench to hit a then-career high three triples, scoring 11 points in 19 minutes, at Marshall, Dec. 4... His two steals vs. the Herd tied his career best... After hitting just 10 three-pointers in 2020-21, he knocked down 28 total threes in 2021-22... 2020-21: Was the only non-starter to see action in all 18 games of Duquesne's COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, his "true" freshman year... Broke out with 11 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to go along with four assists in 21 minutes of the win at Fordham, Jan. 27, before following that with seven points vs. Saint Joseph's, Jan. 30.
HIGH SCHOOL: A graduate of Cass Technical High School in downtown Detroit, was one of the best prep players in Michigan out of high school... A four-year starter, he helped Cass Tech to Detroit Public School League titles in 2017, 2019, and 2020... Named one of five finalists for 2020 Michigan Mr. Basketball... Was ranked as the No. 5 recruit in the state of Michigan by 247Sports.com... Earned a First Team spot on the MLive Metro Detroit Dream Team and was also named 2019-20 PSL Mr. Basketball after scoring 27.6 points per contest to go along with 10.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 4.2 steals per game as a senior... Scored a career-high 44 points, including a game-winning baseline floater, to go along with nine rebounds and five steals in a 65-64 win over Detroit Henry Ford as a senior.
