EMU: 2024: Played in all 12 games with three starts, totaling 16 tackles (five solo, 11 assisted), two tackles for loss for three yards, two quarterback hurries, and a fumble recovery on Nov. 2 vs. Toledo…DELAWARE STATE: Began his college career at DSU as a member of the track & field team, where he won four shot put titles at the MEAC Championships…Named All-MEAC four times for his efforts…Played one year of football (2023) as a walk-on…Started all 11 games and posted 30 tackles and 5.0 sacks…HIGH SCHOOL: Attended St. Georges Technical High School and played for John Wilson as a Hawk…Was a three-year varsity letterman, playing both fullback and on the defensive line...Started as a nose guard during his first year and transitioned to defensive end...In 30 varsity games, recorded 87 rushes for 328 yards and nine touchdowns...Defensively, totaled 96 tackles, 22.5 tackles-for-loss, and 14.5 sacks...Limited to eight games his senior year (COVID), but managed 8.5 sacks and 39 total tackles… Earned all-conference and academic all-state accolades… Also was a member of the track & field program and captured four state titles in the shot put…PERSONAL: Full Name: Tyrell Martin…Son of Nathan and Tracy Martin…Has two brothers, Tyriq and Tre…Business Management major.
