Last Time Out: Two-Meet Weekend
Eastern opened the outdoor season with a split-squad weekend, as athletes competed at both the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, and the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational in Florida, March 26-28. The women were highlighted by four program top 10 marks and eight personal best performances.

Savannah Breitwiser (Commerce Township, Mich./Walled Lake Central/Michigan State) led the throwers with a personal best shot put toss that is tied for the sixth best mark in program history, along with earning the sixth best discuss throw for EMU. Mariah Taylor (East Lake, Fla./East Lake) continued her triple jump success from the indoor season, earning spot No. 4 in the outdoor ranks for Eastern. Alba Viñals Calixto (Arinsal, Andorra/Escola Andorrana de Segona Ensenyança d'Ordino) began her collegiate outdoor career securing her spot in the program top 10 with a personal best 400m hurdles time for spot No. 10.

The men's team saw three program top 10 performances and 14 personal bests across the two meets. All three program top 10 marks came from the throwers, as Leland Godfrey (Temecula, Calif./Chaparral) earned spot No. 9 in the shot put, and both Ray Glory-Ejoyokah (Southfield, Mich./Wylie E. Groves) and DeMarrio Roetherford (Detroit, Mich./Wyandotte/Madonna) earned spots in the discus throw ranks.

The men's distance runners continue to lead the conference, as Eastern holds four of the top five spots in the 1500m run after the first outdoor weekend of the season, where Kian Wiles (Hull, England/St. Mary's College) led the pack to finish in 12th place at the Raleigh Relays in conference-best 3:41.79.
