EMU Heads West for St. Mary's Fall Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will complete its final tournament prior to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Midwest Regional this weekend, Oct. 9-11, when it travels to Moraga, Calif. for the Saint Mary's Fall Invitational.

Hosted by Saint Mary's College of California, the Eagles will be competing against schools from across the west coast, including: California, Cal Poly, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Pacific, Portland, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Stanford and UC Davis.

Action for the Eagles will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT Friday morning when the first flight of doubles squads take the court. Doubles play will last approximately three hours before Klara Supejova becomes the first member of the EMU squad to take the court in the Singles A Flight at 11:30 a.m. from the Saint. The Green and White will be using this weekend's tournament as a final tune up before the culmination of the fall season when the Eagles head to Ann Arbor, Mich. for the 2015 ITA Midwest Regional. The University of Michigan will be hosting this season's regional tournament.
