Marc Malek serves as an Associate Athletic Trainer at Eastern Michigan University, where he oversees the care and performance support for the women’s rowing program. He joined EMU in November 2024 and earned a promotion in March 2026 to Associate Athletic Trainer after initially serving in an assistant role.
Before arriving in Ypsilanti, Malek worked at Madonna University from February 2023 through September 2024. He began as an assistant athletic trainer before being elevated to head athletic trainer in 2024, leading sports medicine operations and managing student-athlete care across multiple programs. He also gained experience in the professional ranks, working with Michigan Stars FC.
A native of Detroit, Mich., Malek graduated from Warren Woods Tower High School in 2012. He went on to attend Wayne State University, where he earned a Master of Science in Athletic Training in 2022.
