Gymnastics Announces 2026 Season Schedule

Eagles set to host four home meets in the upcoming 2026 season

 - Eastern Michigan University Head Gymnastics Coach Katie Minasola announced the team's 2026 schedule Thursday, Oct. 9. The Eagles are set to compete in four home meets inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

"I'm thrilled about this year's schedule," Minasola said. "We'll face several big programs and compete in exciting meets across the country. Our team made great strides last season, and I cannot wait to see how we build on that momentum."

The Green and White begin their campaign Friday, Dec. 12, with a scrimmage hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., at 7 p.m.

The official season opens Sunday, Jan. 11, on the road against Bowling Green at 2 p.m. EMU returns home for the Golden Girls Classic Saturday, Jan. 17, at 4 p.m., hosting Northern Illinois and Brockport.

The Eagles then travel west for a tri-meet at Air Force and Boise State Friday, Jan. 23, at 9 p.m. ET, before returning home to host Wilberforce Thursday, Jan. 29, at 6 p.m.

Super Bowl Sunday brings more action to Ypsilanti as EMU welcomes Central Michigan, Feb. 8, at 1 p.m. The road stretch continues with meets at Ball State, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m., Temple, Feb. 20, at 6 p.m., and George Washington, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., alongside Towson and Fisk.

Eastern Michigan hosts its final home meet of the regular season, Senior Night, Friday, Feb. 27, at 6 p.m., against Western Michigan and Illinois State. The team then travels to Columbus, Ohio, Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m., to compete in a quad meet with Ohio State, NC State, and Penn State. The Eagles close the regular season at Kent State Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m.

The 2026 Mid-American Conference Championships will take place at Bowling Green Saturday, March 21, at 2 p.m. NCAA Regionals are scheduled for April 1-5, with potential host sites including Louisiana State, Oregon State, Kentucky, and Arizona State. Qualifying teams will advance to the NCAA Championships at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, April 16-18, hosted by Texas Woman's University and the Fort Worth Sports Commission.
