Eastern’s 17:02.759 is the fastest in program history at Head of Charles by 14 seconds
BOSTON, Mass. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University rowing team put together a program-best 17:02.759 at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston, Mass, Saturday, Oct. 18, Eastern's best-ever time at the Head of the Charles.
EMU's 17:02.759 mark was its best in program history at the Head of the Charles Regatta, breaking its previous record of 17:16.227, set in 2022.
The Eagles placed 15th of 43 teams in a loaded field with a lineup that featured a trio of freshmen as coxswain Reyna Nyquist (Powell, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) and rowers Brooke Parisi (Clifton Park, N.Y./Shenendehowa) and Megan Sherry (Chelsea, Mich./Skyline) were featured in the boat.
Eastern competed in the Club Eights for the seventh-consecutive year (excludes COVID-altered 2020-21 season).
