RALEIGH, N.C. (EMUEagles.com)
—Eastern Michigan University's women's track and field team had two student-athletes compete in the final day of the Raleigh Relays, March 28.

Freshman Helga Volgyi (Szombathely, Hungary-Savaria Technical College) had a strong collegiate debut in the hammer throw with a launch of 51.18 meters/167 feet 11-inches.  Her mark goes down as the third-farthest throw in EMU laurels, behind only the 2012 pair of performances from Lydia Gomez-Diaz and Angela Scarber.

After running the second-fastest 1500m of her career yesterday, Taylor Knoll (Warren, Mich.-Mott (Lansing CC)) set an outdoor personal record in the 800m run, finishing 11th overall in 2:13.63.

Eastern will remain in-state for their next competition, as the squad will head to Kalamazoo, Mich. to take on the field at the Bronco Classic hosted by Western Michigan University Friday, April 3.
