Buffalo, N.Y. (EMUEagles.com) – After day one of the Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championship, the Eastern Michigan University women's team had solid performances from multiple athletes but was held scoreless in the three events run Thursday, May 13.
Tiffany Kincaid, Rachel Quaintance and Rachel Hollinger-Janzen each participated in the 10,000-meter run, but finished 10th, 13th and 14th respectively. In the javelin throw, Dayna Bergman finished 14th with a throw of 101-07, and Angela Scarber had a 150-04 hammer throw, good for 12th place.
The Eagles are currently tied for last with a lot of competition left in front of them. Eastern is currently 25 points behind the leader Kent State. Day two will start early Friday and the MAC Championship will conclude Saturday afternoon.
