Cheer Team

EMU Cheerleading on Facebook.

The Eastern Michigan University cheer team is an integral part of the Department of Athletics, the University and the community. EMU cheer is a team of hardworking student-athletes. The EMU cheer team encourages fans to provide positive support and encouragement to the university and community. The squad cheers for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball and makes appearances at various University events. All members of the team must manage their time in a productive manner, making sure they are successful as an athlete but most importantly as a student. Being apart of the EMU cheer team is very rewarding and creates special University opportunities. Along with weekly practices, the team is honored to work with the very talented EMU Sports Performance coaching staff for custom athletic training sessions. The squad represents the university at all times and are known to be excellent ambassadors for the university and the department of athletics. Please email Coach Mary Spilski at emu_cheer@emich.edu with any questions!
