Men's Basketball Releases Conference Schedule

The Eagles host 16 total games in 2017-18
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — With Eastern Michigan University Head Coach Rob Murphy announcing the men's basketball non-conference schedule last month, the Mid-American Conference released the 2017-18 slate to complete the Eagles' schedule Thursday, Sept. 7.
The Eagles kick off MAC play and the 2018 portion of its schedule with a roadtrip to Muncie, Ind., to take on Ball State Tuesday, Jan. 2. It is one of nine road conference games on the season. They will also travel to Northern Illinois, Buffalo, Miami, Kent State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Western Michigan, and Toledo.
In total, Eastern Michigan is scheduled to play 16 games in the friendly confines of the Convocation Center, with the first conference bout against Bowling Green Saturday, Jan. 6.
EMU will also host Central Michigan, Akron, Ohio, Western Michigan, Ball State, Miami and Toledo during the season. The final regular season home game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, and will bring Northern Illinois to Ypsilanti.
The Eagles close out the regular season on the road at Toledo Tuesday, Feb. 24.
The MAC Tournament first round will be played on campus sites and will move to Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, from the quarterfinals on.
Eastern Michigan will host three men's and women's doubleheaders during conference play this season, starting with the MAC home opener against Bowling Green and also including Ball State Saturday, Feb. 3 and NIU to finish the season. EMU's men's and women's team will also play a double dip in the 2017-18 opener against Spring Arbor, Friday, Nov. 10.
The MAC also announced the leagues national television schedule on ESPN and CBS Sports Network.
