The alumni event will take place, Sept. 1, around EMU Football's season opener

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University's men's and women's track and field and cross country programs are hosting a joint alumni tailgate prior to EMU Football's season opener against the University North Carolina-Charlotte, Sept. 1.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. with the tailgate, before things shift into "The Factory" at Rynearson Stadium to cheer on the Eagles. Following the football game, which begins at 6:30 p.m., the evening will conclude with a gathering at Aubree's in Depot Town. There, pizza will be served and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under, and includes entry to the tailgate, a game ticket, and entry to the postgame gathering. Registration for the event closes, Thursday, Aug. 25.
The Holiday Inn, a proud partner of EMU Athletics and the preferred hotel for the event, is offering reduced rates for the weekend of Aug. 31 through Sept. 2. Using the code ECL rates will be available for $109 per night. Rooms can be booked by clicking here or calling 734.769.9800.
