Movie Night at “The Factory” Set for August 21

YPSILANTI, Mich, (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics will open the gates to Rynearson Stadium on a Monday night in August once again this summer, but it won't be for a football game. Instead fans will be invited to throw a blanket on the gray turf and enjoy a movie inside "The Factory" on a 32-foot projector screen with surround sound.
EMU's fourth annual "Movie Night at The Factory" will be staged Monday, Aug. 21. Gates will open at 7 p.m., with the movie starting at roughly 8:40 p.m. This year's featured film is Walt Disney Pictures/Pixar Animation Studios' hit Finding Dory.
Admission is only $5 per group or family with 100% of all revenue being donated to the Alzheimer's Association. All seating will be on the turf and fans are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on, while furniture of any type will be prohibited. A limited selection of items will be available for purchase from the concessions stands, however, fans will only be allowed to bring bottled water on the playing field.
Interested in learning more about the Alzheimer's Association? Come early for the Kickoff Party for the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's. Beginning at 6 p.m., the Alzheimer's Association will be hosting a special event prizes with family games, food, and information about the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Walk to End Alzheimer's that is scheduled for Oct. 8.
Fans can also arrive early to enjoy the Fun Zone with activities taking place on field level beginning at 7 p.m.
In the case of inclement weather that night, the movie will be shown at an indoor location inside the Convocation Center. For more information on this event, contact the EMU Athletics Marketing Department at 734.487.2696.
