Throughout the year, he was named MAC Track Athlete of the Week four times, including for his sixth-place fininsh in the 3000m steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays. Additionally, he was also awarded MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week twice.
The redshirt senior had an outstanding career with Eastern, as he qualified to the NCAA Outdoor Championships three times, while also being named a Second Team All-American at the 2016 Indoor NCAA Championships. Additionally, he also holds a total of five spots in the top-five of the EMU record books.
