Pendleton Kicks Off Toledo Invite

The Eagles began the final meet of the regular season today
Toledo Invitational Day One Results
TOLEDO, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's track and field team kicked off the final meet of the season today, May 4, heading south to Toledo for day one of the Toledo Invitational. The opening day saw just one Eagles participate in a pair of throwing events.
Senior Megan Pendleton (Lindsey, Ohio – Woodmoore) braved the rainy conditions to compete in both the discus and the hammer throw one final time before the postseason begins next week. In the discus, Pendleton finished fourth, posting a mark of 40.69 meters/ 133 feet 6-inches, which was less than a meter away from finishing in the top-three. The hammer throw saw the Lindsey, Ohio native secure eighth with a launch of 46.84 meters/ 153 feet 8.25-inches.
The majority of the Green and White attending the meet will begin competition tomorrow, May 5. The Eagles will compete in a number of running events, in addition to one field event. Day two is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the men's javelin, while track events pick up at noon.
