EMU Football Completes First Practice of 2017

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University football team kicked off its spring practice schedule Tuesday, March 7, on the gray turf of "The Factory". The Eagles working on individual development and position drills before the offense and defense competed against each other to end the session.

During the spring practice period, the Eagles will be the field each three times per week. Practices are typically open but please note that times are subject to change. Depending on the weather, practices will take place inside Rynearson Stadium or the Multi-Purpose Indoor Practice Facility.

This Saturday, March 11, Creighton and his staff will also host a spring coaching chalk talk. Cost to attend is $10 and includes coffee, donuts and lunch. Participants will have the opportunity to watch the Eagles go through one spring practice while also learning from the EMU staff.Registration for the event will take place at 8 a.m. in the atrium of the EMU Convocation Center. At 8:30 a.m., Coach Creighton will give an introduction and speak on building a program. Coaches will then be able to attend position meetings followed by the 10:15 a.m. practice session. Afterwards, coaches are encouraged to stick around for a post-practice chalk talk with position coaches.
