Makenzie Garringer Closes Out Career with Lifetime-Best

The senior competed at the Michigan First Chance Meet
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Senior Makenzie Garringer (Napoleon, Ohio-Napoleon) wrapped up her Eastern Michigan University career Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Michigan First Chance Meet. As the lone Eagle representing the EMU women's swimming and diving team, Garringer put an exclamation point on her outstanding career.
The Napoleon, Ohio native swam in one race on Sunday, and made it count in a big way. Garringer touched in with a lifetime-best 52.33 in the 100 Freestyle, beating out swimmers from the University of Michigan and Michigan State University.
The Eagles return to competition this week, Feb. 22-25, at the Mid-American Conference Championships.
