Makenzie Garringer Readies for Michigan First Chance Meet

The Napoleon, Ohio native will close out her career at the two-day meet
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Concluding her career, senior Makenzie Garringer (Napoleon, Ohio-Napoleon) will represent the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team at the Michigan First Chance Meet this weekend, Feb. 18-19.
Garringer will compete in the 100 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle, and 200 Individual Medley at the two-day meet. The Napoleon, Ohio native holds a career-best time of 57.53 in the 100 Fly and a personal-best of 1:00.55 in the 100 Free. Meanwhile, Garringer's best time in the 200 IM came just over a year ago at the OSU Winter Invitational, where she clocked in with a time of 2:08.32.
Action from Canham Natatorium will begin with a preliminary session Saturday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. The finals session will take place at 5 p.m., while action will resume on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 11 a.m. Live results can be found here.
