HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team caps the 2017 calendar year when it heads to the 55th annual Ken Kraft Midlands Championships Friday-Saturday, Dec. 29-30 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The two-day event has four sessions and begins at 10:30 a.m. ET on Friday, and concludes with the place-winning matches on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
All four sessions of the tournament will be broadcast live on FloWrestling and BTN Plus (both $). Live results will be available for free through TrackWrestling. Fans can also track the Eagle wrestlers via Twitter, @EMUWrestling.
The Midlands is another premier mid-season event, providing an NCAA Tournament like atmosphere. A total of 38 teams, including wrestlers from 16 of the top 25 teams, will be in attendance. It will also give the Eagles a potential preview of the upcoming Mid-American Conference slate, as six of the eight conference schools will be in attendance.
EMU will send nine wrestlers onto the mats at six different weight classes. The lineup is as follows:

141: Sa'Derian Perry, Chris Poland
149: Kyle Springer
165: Zac Carson
174: Andrew McNally, Jared Leidich
184: Kayne MacCallum
The Eagles have had 20 place-winners in the 54-year history of the event, including redshirt senior heavyweight Gage Hutchison (Buchanan, Mich.-Buchanan), who finished seventh and fourth the last two years, respectively. The veteran will miss this year's version, however, as he readies for conference action, which starts after the New Year.
There will be two sessions each day, with the times as follows:
