Week's Achievements: Junior goalkeeper Kaylin Williams (Kansas City, Mo.-Winnetonka) was pivotal in between the posts as the Eastern Michigan University soccer team kept its postseason hopes alive. Williams totaled 12 saves, while facing 36 shots, en route to a pair of shutout victories. The Kansas City, Mo. native kicked off week five of conference play with one of the best outings of her career against in-state rival Western Michigan, Oct. 19. Facing a career-high 29 shots by a high-powered WMU offense, Williams tied a career-high with 10 saves to secure a 3-nil win and the ninth shutout of her career. She replicated the success Sunday, Oct. 22, against Northern Illinois, cutting off a number of scoring chances for the Huskies, while adding two saves. Turning in back-to-back shutouts for the third time in her career and second time this season, Williams became one of four Eagles to accomplish the feat three-or-more times in their career. For the season, Williams has set career-highs in wins (7), shots faced (267), and saves (89).
