Eagles' Game Versus Akron Selected for National Broadcast on ESPNU

The men's basketball game with Akron will now be played Friday, Feb. 10, on the ESPNU
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — ESPN has selected the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team's contest with the University of Akron scheduled Saturday, Feb. 11, as one of its wildcard games. With the selection of the contest, the game day will move from Saturday to Friday, Feb. 10, and be played at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.
WEMU (89.1 FM) will provide audio coverage of the game.
The Eagles (12-8, 4-3 MAC) will look to avenge a 70-63 setback versus Mid-American Conference leading Zips (17-3, 7-0 MAC) earlier this season, Jan. 20.
In addition to the change of date and time to the men's basketball game, the EMU gymnastics and wrestling "Beauty and the Beast" event will be moved to Bowen Field House. The event will remain at its previously scheduled time of 7 p.m., but admission will be free.
The EMU men's basketball team continues its MAC schedule Saturday, Jan. 28, when it travels to Miami University to square off with the RedHawks (9-11, 2-5 MAC) at 3:30 p.m. inside Millett Hall. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.
