Men's Golf to Open Season at the EKU Intercollegiate

RICHMOND, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team gets its fall season underway Saturday, Sept. 17, at the EKU Intercollegiate sponsored by Raising Cane's on the University Club at Arlington. The first and second rounds will be played on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. with the final round to be held Sunday, Sept. 18, at 8 a.m.
The University Club at Arlington is a par 70 and plays at 6,623 yards. The last time the Colonels hosted a tournament was Sept. 22, 2007, as EKU not only won but finished 42-under-par, winning by a convincing 49 shots.
The 18 teams competing in this year's intercollegiate are Cleveland State, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Florida Gulf Coast, George Mason, Longwood, Marshall, Mercer, Morehead State, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee State, UT Martin, and Youngstown State.
Competing for EMU in the tournament will be junior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary), sophomore Beau Breault (Howell, Mich.-Hartland), senior Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.), senior Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) and senior Joey Kremer (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Senator O'Connor).
