The Eastern Michigan University football team was back in action at "The Factory" inside Rynearson Stadium today, August 11, for day five of fall training camp.  The Eagles had another perfect sunny day for the first full pads practice of the season.

Head coach Chris Creighton and the rest of his staff had the intensity at its highest level so far this preseason as both sides of the ball engaged in numerous blocking and tackling drills throughout the day.

After the individual position work, the squad broke up into offense and defense for 11-on-11 scrimmages.  Beginning with goal line drills, the offense found the early success with a touchdown strike from Todd Porter (O'Fallon, Ill-O'Fallon (Western Kentucky-Garden City C.C.)) to tight end Sam Browning (Escondido, Calif-Escondido (Palomar C.C.)).

Later on during a full-field two minute drill, the offense was rolling again with two quick strikes to wide receiver Antoine Porter (San Francisco, Calif.-Mission (City College of San Francisco)) that moved the offense down the field. The drive was halted however with an interception from defensive back Jason Beck (Indianapolis, Ind.-Arsenal Technical).  At the end of the drill, the defense came out victorious, keeping the offense out of the end zone.

Practice continues for EMU tomorrow with the first of five two-a-days.  For updates on the EMU football team, be sure to follow @EMUFB on Twitter with the hashtag #LetsRoll as well as on Snapchat, @EMUFB.
