Men's Basketball to Appear in 2016 2K Classic

The 2016 2K Classic is benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project

PRINCETON, N.J. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team will be one-of-eight teams participating in the 22nd annual 2K Classic benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, to open the 2016-17 campaign. The Eagles will play in four games, all of which will take place away from Ypsilanti.

Eastern will first take on Pittsburgh on the road Friday, Nov. 11, in EMU's season opener, before heading to Southern Methodist Sunday, Nov. 13. The following weekend, Nov. 18-19, the Eagles will head to Indianapolis, Ind. to square off with Gardner-Webb Friday, Nov. 18, before squaring off with either Howard or IUPUI Saturday, Nov. 19.

In the championship rounds, Pittsburgh will take on SMU in the first semifinal, followed by Michigan squaring off with Marquette on Thursday, Nov. 17. The consolation and championship games will then take place on Friday, Nov. 18. All four games of the championship rounds will be televised on ESPN networks.
