Baseball To Host #StarWarsDay

The Eagles invite all baseball and Star Wars fans to the park on Wednesday, May the 4th
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University baseball team invites all of its fans to Oestrike Stadium next Wednesday, May 4th, for #StarWarsDay when EMU takes on the University of Michigan in non-conference action. First pitch against the Wolverines is set for 6 p.m.
All Eagle baseball fans and Star Wars fans alike are welcome to come out to the ballpark dressed as their favorite Star Wars character for the opportunity to win prizes. In addition, the first 100 fans into the stadium before the game will receive free Jimmy Johns sandwiches. During the game, Star Wars themed musical selections will enhance spectators' experiences, while budding young Jedi's will have the opportunity to get a picture with Swoop.
You won't want to miss the action on the field either as senior Mitchell McGeein will try and knock one out of the park with his light saber, while redshirt junior Marquise Gill will use the force to make more spectacular plays at shortstop. No matter the case, don't miss the opportunity to take part in one of the most out of this world events of the 2016 EMU baseball season.
