Vote Now on The Ypsi Awards Play of the Year

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Voting is now open for the Eastern Michigan University Athletics Play of the Year, to be presented at the annual Ypsi Awards banquet on Monday, April 11 at the Convocation Center.
Eagle fans are encouraged to watch the video and vote on their favorite of these seven remarkable plays. The nominees for play of the year are: Raven Lee's 46 points versus Miami, Phillis Webb's buzzer beater against Western Michigan to force double overtime, Tim Bond's game winning three-pointer with three seconds left in the Eagles' win versus Northern Illinois, Kendall Valentin's MAC Championship winning uneven bars performance, Andrew Henry's record-setting 200 freestyle performance at the 2016 MAC Championships, EMU Football's two-point conversion trick play at LSU and Marquise Gill's back handed leaping throw at Arizona State.
Voting for Play of the Year ends on Friday, April 8, at 5 p.m.
In addition to the Play of the Year, finalists for each of the other 17 awards have been determined and are listed below. Eastern Michigan coaches nominated student-athletes for the awards and the list was narrowed down to the finalists in each category by members of the EMU Athletics Student Services Committee. Winners for the awards will be selected by a vote from each team and each office within the athletic department.
An all-sports, ESPY-style awards show, The Ypsi Awards features live performances and presentations by several EMU student-athletes. A total of 18 awards will be presented, honoring the accomplishments of EMU student-athletes from the 2015 spring, 2015 fall and 2015-16 winter sports seasons.
Eastern Michigan fans and friends interested in attending The Ypsi's can purchase tickets for $20 in advance online by clicking here. Fans who wish to buy tickets at the event may do so for $25 per ticket.
