Davis Feldman Named MAC West Pitcher of the Week

The freshman did not allow an earned run at Arizona State last week
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University's Davis Feldman (Warren, Mich.-Brother Rice) was named the Mid-American Conference West Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced Thursday, March 10. The award is the first of Feldman's career and the second weekly conference award by an Eagle this season.
Feldman was solid on the mound for the Green and White against Arizona State, March 5. The "true" freshman did not allow an earned run in 5.1 innings, striking out one. He earned the no decision after leaving with the lead, but the Sun Devils went on for a walk-off win.
The rookie now has a 0.63 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched.
Feldman and the Eagles continue life on the road when they jump down to Dayton, Ohio, for the Flyer Classic, March 11-13. EMU will play four games over the three-day span against Oakland University and hosts Wright State University and the University of Dayton. The first game of the series between EMU and Oakland will take place at WSU's stadium with a noon first pitch, March. 11. On Saturday, March 12, EMU will face the Raiders in a double-header, with game one begining at 1 p.m. The weekend concludes with a single game against the Flyers, Sunday March 13, with another 1 p.m. first pitch.
