The redshirt junior quarterback earned the award for the second time this season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University redshirt junior quarterback Brogan Roback (Maumee, Ohio-Toledo St. John's Jesuit) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Offensive Player of the Week for the period ending Nov. 12.  It is the second weekly award of his season and the seventh league accolade by an Eagle this season.

Roback continued his stellar season with his best game as an Eagle yet in the 48-41 win at Ball State on Nov. 8. The Maumee, Ohio native passed for a career-high 468 yards on 37-of-71 passing, both of which were career-highs, and three touchdown passes. The 37 completions ranked fourth in a single game all-time, while 71 attempts was third in a single game all-time. It was the third-most passing yards in a game in program history, and the most since Andy Schmitt set the program record with 516 in 2008. Roback added a career-high tying 41 yards on eight rushes, as well as his fourth career rushing score. The 468 yards were the 22nd most by an FBS player in a single game this season and the second most by a MAC player.

Not only did EMU's 21-point come-from-behind victory over Ball State, tie the program record for the largest in program history, it also marked the third fourth quarter game-winning drive by Roback in his career. Roback marched the Eagles down the field with 1:37 ticks left on the clock and no time outs, completing 6-of-7 attempts on the drive to set up the game-winning score.

Roback leads the team with 1,855 yards on 150 completions and 13 touchdowns. For his career, he has 4,924 yards and 33 passing touchdowns, which rank fifth and tied for fifth all-time in program history, while his 431 completions rank fifth as well. Additionally, he is a candidate for ASN's FBS Player of the Week, as well as the College Sports Madness MAC Player of the Week.

The Eagles are back in action Wednesday, Nov. 16, when they host Northern Illinois for mid-week MACtion inside "The Factory." Kickoff from Rynearson Stadium is set for 8 p.m. The Eagles (6-4, 3-3 MAC) are bowl eligible for the first time since 1995, and will aim for their seventh win when they take on the Huskies Wednesday night.

The contest will be televised nationally by ESPNU with Kevin Brown providing the play-by-play and Craig Haubert serving as the analyst. WEMU (89.1 FM) will provide audio coverage of the game with Matt Shepard and Rob Rubick calling the action on the field.
