Mangum sank a long three pointer to stop the bleeding, but SMU did not fold. The Eagles continued to allow open looks and the Mustangs rolled on, keeping a double-digit through the remainder of the half, extending its lead to as many as 17 with 34 seconds left. Mangum again connected on a three-ball as the buzzer sounded, and the team trailed 46-32 heading into the locker room at the break.
