CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference released the 2016-17 television schedule for the upcoming season's MAC contests, Wednesday, Oct. 19. The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team has been selected for five television broadcasts, while the women are set for a  TV game as well. There are still 22 wildcard selections which will be decided 14 days out for men's contests.

The men's basketball team will be competing on the American Sports Network (ASN) in a pair of contests, first when the Eagles travel to Bowling Green State University, Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. In addition to its game at BGSU, the Green and White will host Ball State University Tuesday night, Jan. 24. The ASN selection will push the regularly selected start time of 7 p.m. back to 9 p.m. for the midweek MAC West battle. Finally, the Eagles' Tuesday, Feb. 7, contest at the University of Toledo will be aired live on the BuckeyeCable Sports Network (BCSN) at 7 p.m. In addition to its announced televised MAC contests, the Eagles' men's squad is slated to air on television for a pair of its non-conference contests as well. The Green and White's opener at Pittsburgh University Friday night, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. will air on the ACC Network and ESPN3, while the 7 p.m. contest Monday, Dec. 19, at Syracuse University is scheduled to be live on ESPNU.

The MAC has announced that it will have six contests air on the ESPN family of networks and 14 will be played on the CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) throughout the course of the conference season. Four of the ESPN broadcasts are wildcard selections, while 11 of the CBSSN contests will be selected 14 days out of the date of competition. ASN will be broadcasting 10 MAC men's games throughout the season with Saturday, Jan. 28, serving as the lone wildcard selection, while of BCSN's 23 men's basketball broadcasts, seven of which will be selected 14 days out. In total, the MAC will have 53 men's basketball games broadcast live on ESPN, CBSSN, ASN or BCSN, culminating in the 2017 MAC Tournament Championship game on ESPN 2 at 7:30 p.m., March 11.

The women's Wednesday night, Jan. 25, game versus Bowling Green will also be picked up by BCSN. That tilt is set to tip at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center. In total, 17 MAC games will be picked up live across three networks. Five women's games will be picked up by ASN, while BCSN will air 11, including both of the MAC Tournament semifinal contests. Finally, CBSSN will host the 2017 MAC Tournament Championship at 11 a.m., March 11.

All games aired on ASN, BCSN or ESPN are also streamed live on ESPN 3 and the WatchESPN app. For the second consecutive season, all remaining EMU home games for both the men's and women's squads will be available on ESPN3. Ryan Wooley, Greg Steiner and Sean Hostetter return to call the games as part of the campus connection initiative. The productions are made possible through a partnership between EMU Athletics and the university's Communication, Media and Theatre Arts program.
