Kyle Rodes and Nic Ross tied for fifth-place with a 139
BEALLSVILLE, Md. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team sits in third-place following 36 holes at the 32nd annual Georgetown Intercollegiate Monday, Oct. 17, at the Members Club at Four Streams. Senior Kyle Rodes (Plymouth, Mich.-Plymouth) and junior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario, Canada-Highland Secondary) lead the Eagles in a three-way tie for fifth.
The duo reversed scores in each round with Rodes posting a 70 and 69 for a tally of 139, while Ross opened with a 69 before adding a 70. Senior Joey Kremer (Toronto, Ontario, Canada-Senator O'Connor) follows close behind with a 144 (72-72) in a tie for 17th.
Senior Jared Multer (Battle Creek, Mich.-Lakeview-Grand Rapids C.C.) carded a three-over on the day and sits tied for 22nd (73-72=145). Sophomore Beau Breault (Howell, Mich.-Hartland) is 12 stroke back at 15-over (78-79=157) and is tied for 57th.
The Eagles trail leaders Notre Dame (560) and Georgetown (564). DePaul shares fourth place with Princeton at 577.
Ben Albin of Notre Dame leads the pack at eight-under (134). Albin's score of 66 in the first round tied the competitive course record at Four Streams.
The third and final round of the 32nd Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate tees off tomorrow at 8:30a.m. (ET).
