CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan-Miami football game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 29, will kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by the American Sports Network, the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Oct. 17. The contest will also be streamed nationwide on ESPN3.
WEMU (89.1 FM) will provide audio coverage of the game with Matt Shepard and Rob Rubick calling the action on the field.
Miami and Eastern Michigan are meeting for the 23rd time in history with the RedHawks holding an 18-4 advantage. In a series that has been hit or miss on the schedule, Miami holds an eight-game winning streak that dates back to Oct. 1, 1994, when MU escaped with a 21-17 victory at Rynearson Stadium.
During the game, the E-Club Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2016 will be introduced. The group includes: Steve Brown (wrestling), Lional "Jelly Roll" Dalton (football), Connie Miner (softball coach), Fabian Rollins (men's track & field) and Greg Ryan (baseball). In addition to the Hall of Fame inductees, the E-Club will present Robin Baun with the Ron Oestrike Distinguished Service Award. Eastern Michigan remains on the road this weekend, Oct. 22, for an in-state showdown with No. 20/20 Western Michigan University. Game time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Waldo Stadium. The Eagles enter the league affair with a 5-2 (2-1 MAC) record and are seeking to become bowl eligible following a 27-20 road victory at Ohio University, Oct. 15. Meanwhile, the Broncos (7-0, 3-0 MAC) are off to their best start since 1941 after a 41-0 shutout of the University of Akron, Oct. 15.
