YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University football team kicked off spring practice Wednesday, March 4, inside the Multi-Purpose Indoor Practice Facility. The Eagles practiced for 95 minutes working on individual development and position drills before the offense and defense competed against each other to end the session.
Head Coach Chris Creighton spoke with Eagle All-Access following the first practice, click here to listen.
"It was really good to be back out there with the guys with the football," remarked Creighton. "The end of November was a long time ago, so much has transpired in the ensuing months. There is great energy; great effort and we are not at square one anymore. They are a fun group to coach."
"Everybody was excited," he added. "You put so much time into the recruiting and with signing day passing and being able to get back into adjustments from the season and the preparation you have in February to get ready for spring ball so for it to finally be here today was exciting!"
The Eagles will continue practice throughout the rest of the week while hosting a coaches' chalk talk Saturday, March 7, beginning at 8:30 a.m. The free event will feature a introduction from the second-year head coach along with a chance to watch practice as well as a post practice chalk talk with position coaches.
