Eastern Michigan-Missouri Agree on Two-Game Deal

Eagles and Tigers to Meet in Columbia in both 2016 and 2020
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University and the University of Missouri have agreed to a two-game football series, as announced jointly Tuesday, Feb. 3, by both schools. Mizzou will play host to both games in the series, with the first date set for Sept.10, 2016, in Columbia, Mo. while the back end of the two-game set will be played Sept. 26, 2020.
The Eagles and Tigers have met once previously on the gridiron, with Missouri posting a 44-24 victory at Faurot Field, Sept. 6, 1997, in what was the season-opener that year for both squads.
Additional football non-conference scheduling announcements will be made in the coming weeks as other contracts are finalized.
Head Football Coach Chris Creighton will host a National Signing Day Celebration to announce the 2015 Eagles recruiting class. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 6 p.m. inside the Convocation Center atrium. Food and beverages will be provided to all Eagle fans.
During the event, Coach Creighton will talk about the new Eagle signees and show video highlights of the class. He will then introduce the members of his coaching staff. Following the presentation, fans will have the chance to interact with the coaching staff, along with several football student-athletes, and enjoy a glimpse of the 2015 team.
Fans in attendance will have the first opportunity to purchase EMU football season tickets. As an extra benefit to purchase at the event, those who buy season tickets will receive a free 2015 season parking pass (a $30 value).
In addition to the event at the Convocation Center, there will be complete coverage throughout signing day at EMUEagles.com. During the afternoon, EMUEagles.com will host a web show featuring Coach Creighton and members of the Eagles' coaching staff.
