EMU Names Joe Jordan Director of Basketball Operations

EMU Alumnus Remains an Eagle
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Joe Jordan, a consistent member on the administrative side of the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team, has been named the director of women's basketball operations at EMU, Head Women's Basketball Coach Tory Verdi announced today, June 20.
His primary responsibilities will include coordinating the Eagles' travel arrangements, directing the summer basketball camp program, supervising the managerial staff, and various other administrative duties.
Jordan is not unfamiliar with the Eagles, as he has worked with the women's team throughout both his undergraduate and graduate academic careers at EMU. Jordan spent time from 2011-12 as the student manager, while spending the following years as the Graduate Assistant and Video Coordinator for the women's basketball team in 2012-13.
Well-versed in the world of sports, Jordan has worked for a number of sport organizations since 2004 such as Upward Basketball, the Washtenaw Saints, the Detroit Lions, EMU men's ice hockey, and Washtenaw Community College Sports. He is also familiar with the administrative side of sports, gaining experience in event coordination and media promotions, on top of the video editing, event organizing, management supervising, and media advertising experience he obtained while working for EMU.
Jordan has earned both a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education and a Master's in Sport Management from Eastern Michigan University.
