Women's Basketball Takes Part in Ypsilanti P.R.I.D.E. Day

Student-athletes and coaches volunteer for the community event
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team was proud to give back to the Ypsilanti community Saturday, May 18, by participating in Ypsilanti P.R.I.D.E. Day. These student-athletes joined other groups at Ford Lake to remove litter from the shoreline and help beautify the park.
Ypsilanti P.R.I.D.E. Day is a community-wide event intended to foster community pride and encourage local business growth by creating a clean and welcoming environment. It began as a class project by the 1995 graduating class of Leadership Ypsilanti; an experiential learning program sponsored by the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Regional Chamber, and is now sponsored by the A2Y Chamber Foundation."
