Burtch Competes in USA Swimming Open Water World Championship Trials

the USA Swimming Open Water World Championship Trials, May 17-19, in Castaic Lake, Calif.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com)—Eastern Michigan University distance swimmer Audra Burtch (Goshen, Ind. –Concord) is participating at the 10k and 5k events in the USA Swimming Open Water World Championship Trials, May 17-19, in Castaic Lake, Calif.
The top-two finishers in each division will clinch a spot at the FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain, July 20-27, 2013.
Burtch, an EMU freshman, took fourth in the 1,650-freestyle in 16:40.63, which made the qualifying time for the 10k distance, and placed eighth in the 500-style in 4:57.30 at the Mid-American Championship on March 2, 2013.
The 10k distance event takes place today, May 17, 2013.
