Bogard Lost for Remainder of Season with Shoulder Injury

Cleveland, Ohio native played in 18 games for the Eagles in 2012-13
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University sophomore forward Amber Bogard (Cleveland, Ohio-Beachwood) has been lost for the remainder of the 2012-13 season after suffering a shoulder injury, Head Coach Tory Verdi announced Friday, Feb. 8. Bogard will have surgery to repair the injury in mid-February.
The Cleveland, Ohio native played in 18 contests before suffering the injury in the first half of the Kent State contest, Jan. 24. Bogard was averaging 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
This is the second time this season EMU has lost a player to a season-ending injury. Junior forward Olivia Fouty (Toledo, Ohio-Sylvania Northview) is recovering from knee surgery, leaving the Eagles with just nine players on the active roster.
