Men’s Track and Field Travels to Ohio for Weekend Invitational

Eagles to compete at SPIRE Invitational in Geneva, Ohio
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team is set to participate in the SPIRE Invitational, Feb. 8-9, at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
“We are looking forward to giving our athletes the opportunity to compete in another high level competition at an outstanding facility,” commented EMU Head Men's Track and Field Coach John Goodridge.
The SPIRE Invitational is just one of two remaining meets prior to the Mid-American Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships at Bowen Field House, Feb. 22-23. With the conference championship just around the corner, there have already been 27 Eagles that have automatically qualified for the meet, breaking the marks set by the MAC.
Cameron Bolton leads EMU with three automatic qualifying marks. A plethora of Eagles have qualified in two events including: Jeff Elam, Terefe Ejigu, Solomon Ijah, Grzegorz Kalinowski and Matthew Williams. A list of EMU qualifiers can be found below.
Assistant coach Steve Manz joins Eagle All-Access for Men's Track and Field Weekly to talk about individual performances at the Meyo Invitational as well as discussing automatic qualifiers for the MAC Championships.
