Women's Basketball Announces 2012-13 Non-Conference Schedule

The Eagles will feature seven home non-conference games in the 2012-13 season

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Seven home dates, including a pair of games against Big Ten Conference foes, highlight the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball non-conference schedule, announced by Head Women's Basketball Coach Tory Verdi.
The schedule features a season-opening game against Northeastern University, Nov. 11, at the Convocation Center, followed by four more home games, highlighted by when Big Ten member Michigan State University comes calling, Nov. 15.
The defending Mid-American Conference Tournament champions will first hit the road when they travel to Butler University, Nov. 28, followed by road games at the University of Wyoming, Dec. 1, and South Dakota State University, Dec. 4.
The Green and White return home Tuesday, Dec. 11, when the University of Michigan travels to the Convocation Center.
EMU will leave the state as it matches up with the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Dec. 15. Following their game with UMKC the Eagles will take part in the Tulane University Holiday Tournament, Dec. 29-30. Eastern will have to play Tulane University, as well as either McNeese State University or the University of Mississippi.
Verdi's squad will return to Ypsilanti for the final game of the non-conference schedule when the Eagles play host to Loyola University-Chicago, Jan. 5, at the Convocation Center.
Additionally, EMU will prep for its non-conference schedule with a pair of home exhibition games. The Green and White will first take on Madonna University, Nov. 2, and follow-up with an exhibition against Wayne State University, Nov. 6.
The MAC portion of the schedule along with tip times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
