EMU Athletics and Pakmode Media Extend Partnership

Pakmode will continue as the multimedia rights holder while adding new responsibilities
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Pakmode Media + Marketing announced today, June 6, that they have signed a three-year extension of their partnership agreement. EMU and Pakmode began their relationship in 2009 and this new multi-year agreement ensures that Pakmode will continue to be the exclusive multi-media rights holder while also overseeing the digital marketing strategy, social media management and retail revenue operations.
Additionally, Pakmode will spearhead new ticket sales initiatives and promotions to increase paid ticket sales as well as consulting with EMU Athletics Development to assist in the department's fundraising efforts.
"Pakmode has brought our partnership program up to date, with a major emphasis on new digital opportunities," said Dr. Derrick Gragg, EMU Director of Athletics. "In a very short period of time, Pakmode helped us increase our revenues and overall brand awareness. Naturally, we are excited to expand and continue this partnership.”
Pakmode adapts to the media industry's rapid evolutionary pace, using their deep understanding of sports media to align their clients and projects with such. Pakmode's expertise in social media, mobile, and other digital platforms amidst such constant change makes this partnership crucial to the department's growth, integration of new media efforts and creation of revenue streams through this aforementioned integration.
“Pakmode has a clear understanding of traditional marketing and sponsorship elements that play a key role in helping us to decide how, where and when to market ourselves," added Gragg. "But it is their expertise in the digital marketing realm that allows traditional routes to see such great results. Not only did Pakmode increase our partnership revenue by 40 percent in the past two years, but we have been able to use their knowledge of digital space to increase attendance and retail revenue while reconnecting with former student-athletes, alumni and fans from a developmental standpoint."
Leading the deal for Pakmode Media + Marketing is Brofounder, Bilal Saeed. “As a proud alum of EMU, and a true fanatic of EMU Athletics, I could not be more excited about where the department is headed as a whole. Revenue sports continue to improve both on and off the field, and non-revenue sports continue to excel like our legendary track and swimming programs. Dr. Gragg continues to lead this department on the path to success and Pakmode is ecstatic at the opportunity to continue and grow our relationship with EMU Athletics.”
