EMU to Salute Veterans During Football Home Opener

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University football team will kick-off the 2010 season on Saturday, Sept.4, and for the second consecutive year will host the Army Black Knights at Rynearson Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The game will also serve as a “Salute to Veterans” as current and former members of the military will not only be honored during the evening, but also treated to a special ticket discount and a complimentary hospitality tailgate prior to the game.
Tickets to the game for veterans and their families can be purchased in advance for just $3 by contacting the EMU Ticket Office or by purchasing them online at emueagles.com and using the promotional code: salute. The hospitality tailgate will be located on the west lawn outside of Rynearson Stadium and will feature a buffet dinner to be served on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning at 4 p.m.
Tickets to the Army game are still available to the general public for $9 for adults and $3 for youth. Ticket voucher packs that feature 10 general admission vouchers redeemable for a ticket to any home game during the 2010 season can also be purchased for $30. Parking is free at all home games.
