YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team travels to Bloomington, Ind. for the Indiana Invitational. The two-day event will take place at the Indiana University Golf Course, with two rounds Saturday, April 10, and the final 18 holes slated for Sunday morning, April 11.

There are 16 teams competing in this 6,142-yard, par-72 event. Competing with the Green and White this week will be Indiana, Ball State, Colorado, Illinois, Illinois State, Indiana State, Iowa State, Iowa, Lipscomb, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri-Kansas City, Missouri State, Oakland and Western Michigan.

The Eagles are coming off of a 10th place finish at the UALR Women's Golf Classic in Hot Springs, Ark., March 29-30. Junior Darby Peters fired a final round 72 to finish in a tie for ninth place with a 223 (76-75-72) The ninth place showing marked Peters' 12th career top 10 finish and her fifth of the 2009-10 campaign.
