YPSILANTI
, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Two weeks after completing its most successful season in 12 years, the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team had the opportunity to spend time with students Wednesday morning, March 24, at local Chapelle Elementary.

EMU players and coaches had the chance to teach the youngsters at Chapelle fundamental basketball skills with several shooting games and a mock slam dunk contest, as well as the importance of education and learning in the classroom.

"Our team always enjoys giving back to the local community, especially when it involves teaching young students the game of basketball and the importance of education,” said EMU Head Men's Basketball Coach, Charles E. Ramsey. "Our players and staff loved every minute of it and I believe it's a step toward building character and hopefully the kids had as much fun as we did.”
