Eagles and Titans renew the rivalry Saturday, Feb. 20, at 3:35 p.m. in Calihan Hall

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The last missing piece on the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball schedule was filled in Monday, Feb. 1, when it was announced the Eagles will travel to longtime rival the University of Detroit Mercy Saturday, Feb. 20, as part of the eighth annual ESPNU BracketBusters.

Game time is scheduled for 3:35 p.m. at Calihan Hall in Detroit, Mich. As part of the arrangement, Detroit will return the game by playing at the Convocation Center during the 2010-11 campaign.

A member of the Horizon League, UDM is one of Eastern Michigan's oldest rivals. The two teams first met during the 1897-98 season, and the Titans hold a 59-18 all-time series record. Detroit is 14-8 on the current season, heading into Thursday night's contest at 15th-ranked Butler. Sophomore guard Chase Simon paces the Titans in scoring at 14.9 points per game, while sophomore center Eli Holman chips in 8.7 caroms per contest.

The annual ESPNU BracketBusters event, a two-day men's college basketball extravaganza, features 11 nationally-televised games – on either ESPN2 or ESPNU – selected from a pool of 98 teams on Feb. 19-20. The 76 teams not selected for a TV game will compete against each other over those same two days.

All 12 MAC schools participate in the ESPNU BracketBusters event. Games in the MAC include Valparaiso at Bowling Green, Buffalo at Saint Peters, Tennessee State at Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan at Detroit, Southeast Missouri State at Miami, Northern Illinois at Eastern Illinois, Wright State at Ohio, Toledo at Cleveland State and Western Michigan at Southern Illinois. Akron is slated for an ESPNU matchup against Virginia Commonwealth, while Kent State hosts Western Carolina.
