YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team will pair up with the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center to host the inaugural Flex for Pink event Friday, Feb. 12, at Bowen Field House. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. and admission is $5. All attendees receive a “Flex for Pink” t-shirt, with all proceeds supporting cancer research.
The EMU baseball team will step into the limelight and flex their muscles for a panel of judges, who are members of several EMU athletic teams.
“Cancer is an illness that we all can relate to,” said EMU Head Baseball Coach Jay Alexander. “I guarantee we all know someone who has been impacted by cancer, and I am glad our team will have an opportunity to contribute to the research of finding a cure.”
The EMU baseball team and University of Michigan Cancer Center have worked together in the planning and promotion of this event, and all proceeds will go towards cancer research.
