Gymnastics Inks Three in Early Signing Period

Head Coach Steve Wilce has announced three gymnasts have signed the National Letter of Intent.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com)- The Eastern Michigan University Head Gymnastics Coach Steve Wilce has announced three recruits have signed the National Letter of Intent for the early signing period in November. Allie Lekson (Cincinnati, Ohio- Colerain), Jamie Radermacher (Tigard, Ore.-Tualatin) and Anna Willette (Pylesville, Md.-North Harford) will join the Eagles for the 2011-12 season.
Lekson was named Eastern National vault champion and state all-around champion as a freshman. In 2008, her performance on the beam and vault also earned her championship honors. Her top performance on the vault notched her Regional vault champion. Most recently she was an Ohio State vault champion during her junior champaign. She maintains a 3.97 GPA and plans on majoring in biology or pre-med.
Radermacher is a four-time regional qualifier and national qualifier. In 2009, she qualified for NIT, where she placed third overall on the vault, ninth on the beam and ninth all-around. In the 2009 season, Radermacher placed fifth on the vault, sixth on the floor exercise and eight all-around. She qualified for nationals by placing first on the vault and beam, second on the floor and sixth all-around.
Willette is entering her fourth year as a level 10 gymnast at Hartford Gymnastics Training Center. She received fourth place all-around at the 2010 Maryland Level 10 state championships. She also placed first overall for her all-around performance at the Nittany Invitational. Willette is a National qualifier and will join the Eagles to compete for the 2011-12 season.
The EMU gymnastics team begins action Jan. 16, traveling to DeKalb, Ill. to face the Huskies of Northern Illinois University.
