Senior wide receiver named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List for the first time

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University senior football wide receiver Jacory Stone (Cleveland, Ohio-Glenville) has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced Monday, Aug. 10.
The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation, Inc. is the creator and sponsor of the Biletnikoff Award which is presented annually to the nation’s outstanding college football receiver.
Over 50 prominent journalists, commentators, announcers, and former players select the winner through a process audited by a CPA firm. While the TQC Foundation Trustees manage the organization, they have no role in the winner’s selection. The award is presented annually on the ESPN College Awards Show.
A three-year letterwinner, Stone caught a team-high 88 passes for 943 yards and three touchdowns last season for the Eagles, earning second-team All-Mid-American Conference accolades. Against Temple last season, Stone caught a career-high 18 passes for 152 yards and one touchdown. In his career, Stone has tallied 148 receptions, good for third in EMU football history, while his 1,504 career receiving yards ranks seventh all-time in school history.
