Garrett Gronowski Earns All-Star MVP Honor

Has two interceptions to lead the North team to a win in the Ohio North-South Game

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Garrett Gronowski (Avon, Ohio-Avon H.S.), one of Eastern Michigan University's 2009 football recruits, put the finishing touches on his high school football career by being named the Most Valuable Player in the state of Ohio North-South All-Star Game held Saturday, June 20, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.

Gronowski, a 6-foot-3, 202-pound defensive safety, turned in two interceptions to help lead the North Team to a 49-7 win in the 64th Annual North-South All-Star Game.

Gronowski also enjoyed a strong senior season in track, winning four events in the West Shore Conference track meet. He won both the 200 meters and long jump while also running on the victorious 400 and 800-meter relay teams.
