CLEVELAND, Ohio – Eastern Michigan University junior shortstop Jim Gulliver (Allen Park, Mich.-Allen Park) has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning, May 11. This marks Gulliver’s first conference accolade this season.
Gulliver had a solid week for the Eagles last week, going 8-for-14 (.571) in five games with three home runs, nine runs scored, seven RBI and two stolen bases. Gulliver helped the Eagles take two out of three on the road at Toledo, May 8-10, including a 4-for-5 performance in game one with two homers, three runs scored and three RBI.
Gulliver and the Eagles hit the road for a non-conference tilt against the Ohio State University Buckeyes tomorrow, May 12, at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
